Will Disney Jollywood Nights Top Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?

Walt Disney World is Launching a Brand New Christmas Holiday Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: How Will it Compare to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?

We share everything you need to know about both Walt Disney World Christmas Holiday Parties, including which one you should attend if you can only attend one.

Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The glitz and glamor of a Hollywood holiday comes to life with sparkling décor, sounds of modern beats over classic holiday songs, craft cocktails and decadent holiday food. Disney Jollywood Nights is a brand new, separately ticketed event that will run for only 10 select nights from November 11 - December 20, 2023, 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Disney encourages you to dress in your holiday glam best or festive flair and dance the night away to merry mashups. From unique food and bubbly spirits and cocktails, to selfies with iconic characters Jollywood Nights sounds like a very different ambiance than Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party. Plus, for an extra dose of cheer and a little retro vibe, the party will close each night with the return of the nighttime spectacular, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! featuring Prep and Landing.

What will Happen at Disney’s Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios?

Entertainment areas inspired by different genres
  • When you enter the park for Disney Jollywood Nights, a DJ will be playing a mix of holiday tunes. Commissary Lane will come to life with a Latin Street Fair. Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will host a live holiday special at Theater of the Stars with some of their Disney friends. And Hyperion Theater will host a holiday sing-along.
  • In one of the more interesting new experiences, Disney says you can "Encounter glitz and glamor galore at two limited-capacity entertainment experiences - a jazz lounge at The Hollywood Brown Derby and an other-worldly soiree at The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard." Exactly how these will work isn't yet known.
  • Each night will close with Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! A nighttime spectacular in Disney style featuring music, fireworks, special effects and of course state-of-the-art projections.
Selfies and unique holidayphoto opportunities throughout the night
  • Pose with friends for holiday-themed Magic Shots and two new Disney PhotoPass experiences throughout the night. Complimentary digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos captured during the event are included with the price of the ticket.
  • Meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the rest of the iconic gang in Animation Courtyard on a set with holiday props. Meet favorite throwback friends like Powerline Max and Phineas and Ferb at Echo Lake and strike a pose with Edna Mode and one of her super friends at Pixar Place.
Plus, enjoy after-hours access to some of your favorite rides and coasters under the stars
  • Rides specifically mentioned include Slinky Dog Dash, Rock N’ Roller Coaster, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and more. (Star Wars: Rise of Resistance will use virtual queue during Disney Jollywood Nights.)
Indulge in delicious holiday tastes and sips exclusive to the party
  • Specialty food and drink will be available to buy throughout the party, including Spicy Korean Chicken on a Mini Funnel Cake, sweet delights including a colorful Christmas Tree Cookie Stack inspired by the iconic Echo Lake Christmas Tree and classic cocktails and holiday beverages.
Disney Jollywood Nights is a limited-capacity holiday event. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can buy tickets starting June 29. Tickets for all guests go on sale July 6.

Disney's Jollywood Night Party Dates are:
  • November: 11,18, 20, 27, 29
  • December: 4, 6,16,18, 20
The Two Big Questions:

1.     How will the in-party limited capacity events work?
2.     What will be happening in Galaxy's Edge?

New Christmas Holiday Disney Cruise Experiences for 2023

2023 Verry Merrytime Cruises

Disney Cruise Line has two brand-new entertainment experiences, plus Disney characters dressed in jolly new looks and fun-filled activities for the whole family.

New Tree Lighting Ceremony

On the first night of all Very Merrytime sailings, guests will gather around the three-deck-tall tree in the ship’s atrium for a brand-new tree lighting ceremony. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy will invite families to sing along to classic holiday tunes, followed by a countdown that will not only make the tree merry and bright, but also introduce the guests of honor for the cruise.

“Deck” the Halls at Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party

Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party, another brand-new experience on these specialty sailings, will invite families to the upper decks for a one-of-a-kind celebration at sea filled with tidings of good cheer. This high-energy deck party – thrown by Mickey and Minnie – will feature favorite Disney friends as they celebrate friendship, love and family with a fresh mix of classic and original holiday songs.

Disney Cruise Line decks and halls will be filled with boughs of holly from bow-to-stern during Very Merrytime cruises. Disney characters will also debut new holiday attire and there will be themed Very Merrytime activities, carolers singing contemporary versions of songs that celebrate a myriad of holidays, commemorative merchandise and festive food and beverage items.
